Recruitment Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Officer to join a fast growing organisation that recruits and develops young leaders to transform the educational and social outcomes of pupils across the UK.

Position: Recruitment Officer

Location: Birmingham

Hours: 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £22,300-£24,700 (dependant on experience)

Contract: Permanent

The Role

The Recruitment Officer position offers the opportunity to lead on exciting regional attraction work to deliver a pipeline of high quality volunteers excited to apply for the City Year programme. You will have responsibility and autonomy to search for exceptional volunteer leaders motivated to drive and shape social change. You will also contribute to delivering an efficient, effective, end to end recruitment service, supporting with selection, retention and on-boarding processes; to ensure outstanding volunteers are recruited to deliver excellent outcomes for schools and pupils we work with.

Primary responsibilities

•Responsibility for the attraction of high quality volunteers aged between 18-25
•Selection of high quality volunteers aged between 18-25
•Complete on-boarding checks for our volunteers
•Developing marketing and promotional activities
•Monitor and evaluate systems and processes
•Supporting the recruitment team

About You

As Recruitment Officer you will be an excellent relationship builder with an enthusiastic, proactive approach. You will have experience of working within a recruitment, university, college or careers setting and of using an applicant tracking system or CRM database.

City Year UK is a youth social action charity which challenges 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time voluntary service. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, they support pupils growing up in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the UK.
